A transport worker died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on early Sunday after being hit by a bus in front of Saydabad bus-stand in Dhaka on Saturday night.

The victim was identified as Md Suman, 36, son of Md Sayed Miah of Noakhali Sadar upazila. He used to live with his wife and son at Mugda in Dhaka.

Witnesses said that a bus of Unique Paribahan hit Suman in front of Saydabad Bus-stand in Dhaka at about 10:30pm while he was working under the wheels of his bus, leaving him critically injured.

He was taken to a local hospital and from there he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died at about 4:30am.

DMCH police outpost in-charge Bachchu Miah said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations and the Jatrabari Police was informed about the accident.
